Hello friends! Hope everyone is having a fantastic 2019 so far. The baby daddy and I have been making huge strides so far this year in living a healthier lifestyle. For us, the HARDEST part of eating healthy….is actually eating healthy. I don’t know, I feel like when you’re all happy with life it’s so much easier to be like,
“Whatever, I’m happy, my man loves me, my life is good, let me eat all these donuts and matter fact…let’s make a Poptart icecream sandwich”
… an actual thing I ate during pregnancy, I have no shame.
But I realized that living a healthier lifestyle is more than just “weight loss”, that will come as a by product of making healthier choices when it comes to what I put into my body. I want to be there for my kid, I want to see him grow up, I want to run around with him, be there at his wedding, and heck, when my grand children are born one day. I want to be around for all of that, I mean really be there for it all. If I kept going down the path I had been, there was a better chance that none of that would happen for me. I know that sounds dramatic but it’s true! Now, don’t get me wrong…we still treat ourselves to takeout from our FAVORITE Chinese restaurant every now and then, just certainly not as often.
SO! What we started doing was simply making small changes here and there with our snacks, condiments, what we cook with, etc. Today on the blog, I am going to share with you a few items you can find in our kitchen and where you can purchase them yourself!
I discovered Thrive Market on Instagram and quickly realized it was the perfect solution to our “we live in the middle of nowhere” problems. We don’t really have a health food store that sells Paleo/Whole30 compliant foods/ingredients. Thrive Market is a grocery delivery service that sends all of your items right to your home and the even COOLER part of this is that all of the products are SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than they would be if you purchased them through the store. It’s also cool because it doesn’t HAVE to be a subscription box but if you wanted monthly reoccurring orders to happen you can choose to set that up. Otherwise you just purchase the items you want one by one each month or as you need them.
Here’s what we got in our box this time!
Gluten-Free | Whole30 Approved | Keto | Organic
Gluten-Free | Kosher | Paleo | Vegan/Plant-Based | Grain Free
Whole30 | Gluten-Free | Keto | Paleo | Vegan
Gluten-Free | Vegan | Keto | Paleo | Dairy-Free | Soy-Free | Sugar-Free
Gluten-Free | Organic | Vegan | Dye/Color Free | Cholesterol Free | Soy-Free
Gluten-Free | Organic | Low Fat
Grass-Fed | Gluten-Free | Keto | Grain-Free | Dye/Color Free
Gluten-Free | Paleo | Vegan | Grain-Free
My total for all of this was $32 which is nothing compared to what this would have cost me in the store WHICH in case you were wondering…would have been $55 doll-hairs. And I didn’t have to leave my house…with a baby…win.
So, guess what chickies, if you wanted to order a couple things I can save you 25% each item you purchase if you shop my link below. Girl, I know, I do what I can.
