Here is a list of my favorite life lessons that my dear ‘ol dad taught me and therefore shaped my life forever.
You’ve probably heard the phrase, “Date your spouse”
What does that mean? It means just what what you’re reading…go on a date with your spouse.
But wait…think about what happens when you go on a date. Are you actually “dating” your spouse?
I think I handled our first night away from our son pretty well. I did find myself feeling guilty for a moment, having that feeling like I was maybe doing something irresponsible or that I should be home with him.
Aside from sorting through my own heartbreak over losing her, I knew I was going to need to step up as a spouse during this time. Here are a few things I learned during this grieving process that I hope can help those who may find themselves in a similar situation one day.
Miscarriage. It’s not talked about enough and that’s why it’s so scary for women when it happens to them. 1 in 3 women have a miscarriage and before I knew that statistic, I thought I was 1 in 1000 and that something was terribly wrong with me. This terrible and often unexplained loss is common yet something that will forever shape the mindset of a Mom-to-be.
